You can install this directly onto tile; you do not need to purchase a shower base.

This door is reversible for Right or Left installation. This is the tallest which Dreamline offers.

Fantastic design and really quality construction. The glass is very thick and the SS frame is solid. The door slides very smoothly. We are very pleased with the shower enclosure and we have bought another unit for a differnet bath in our house. You won't regret this purchase.
