Q:do I need to get a plastic bottom base or can i attach the enclosure to tiles and make a walk in shower without the plastic base??

You can install this directly onto tile; you do not need to purchase a shower base.

Q:Hello, re the Enigma X48" enclosure, all your photos show the 34 1/2 panel on the right side. Can it be on the left? Also, does it come any taller? Thank you.

This door is reversible for Right or Left installation. This is the tallest which Dreamline offers.

Fantastic design and really quality construction. The glass is very thick and the SS frame is solid. The door slides very smoothly. We are very pleased with the shower enclosure and we have bought another unit for a differnet bath in our house. You won't regret this purchase.
