Q:I am interested in purchasing a small kitchen sink and have found 2 that could be good options:
1. ROHL
ALLIA 23-15/16" UNDERMOUNT FIRECLAY KITCHEN
2. ROHL
SHAWS 23-7/16" FIRECLAY SINK
I am not clear if the second one "ROHL
SHAWS 23-7/16" FIRECLAY SINK" is truly undermount. We need it to be undermount but it says drop in undermount.
Also, there is a big difference in weight. The ALLIA 23-15/16" is only 61 lbs while the ROHL
SHAWS 23-7/16" is 110 lbs. Can you let me know why the difference? Would we have any challenges with the installation?

The Rohl Shaws (RC2418) is primarily meant to be installed as an apron front sink more of a farmhouse style. You could install the sink as an undermount as well but you would have to put more support to hold it in place. The Allia is truly an under-mount sink.
