MTI has introduced an innovative, new and exclusive solid-surface material we call DoloMatte. It is an American-made true solid-surface slab made of a specialty polymer blended with ground minerals that is consistent in color and property. The surface is non-porous, durable and impact/shock resistant. It is UV-, stain-, mold- and mildew-resistant. Also easy to clean, maintain and repair.

IMPORTANT ORDERING INFORMATION: This tub features a 2-piece design to facilitate faucet and drain installation. Faucet and overflow can be pre-installed on the 4.5" wide flat deck surface on the tub, and then dropped in to the outer shell for final assembly.

Q:Do I need an access panel and/or two-piece construction on the MTI melinda 6 soaking tub. I am planning on mounting the fill faucets directly on the tub deck

If you are planning on installing a tub filler on the deck, you can either get an access panel or a two piece construction. The difference is, if the tub will be visible on all four sides you would want to get a two piece construction. However if the tub will be up against a wall the access panel will be ok.
