Q:I have limited clearance behind the faucet. Does the rotational arc of the lever require travel toward the rear or does it only require forward rotation?

This does go a bit back but not past the base of the faucet. It will not be an issue with hitting the backsplash.

Q:What does full, needle and pause mean
A:
Full is regular stream. Needle is spray mode. Pause is to stop the water flow temporarily.

Q:Is this faucet available with a 2.2 gpm flow rate?
A:
This only comes as the 1.75 GPM. Hansgrohe has switched out all their kitchen faucets from 2.2 to 1.75.

Love the way the Talis S looks and operates. Love Hansgrohe faucets and products in general. They are solidly built, do not look or feel cheap, and are stylish in a modern but not too hi-tech way. The water pressure on this kitchen faucet is perfect - not too wimpy and not too strong. However, I would not use it on a shallow sink. I got the chrome mostly because it is substantially cheaper than the steel optik but also I like the look of chrome - it is classic and probably won't go out of fashion as quickly as the matte steel optik finish. It gets a few smudges because it is shiny, but nothing that looks awful or doesn't wipe off quick. I'm very pleased and sort of a Hansgrohe fan for life. When I have questions about products before ordering, the Quality Bath staff are EXCEEDINGLY helpful and pleasant. I also like the range of products they carry. All the best quality brands (not just the most expensive or most popular).
