Q:Hello. Just wondering if this device has some sort of a safety feature where to get the hot to come on the lever has to be pushed left and pulled to activate. Whereas the cold simply is pushed in the direction?

This does not have a safety feature. For hot you would just push the lever back. For cold you would pull towards you.
