Inspired by one of the earliest sinks unearthed on the Greek island of Santorini, the irregularly-shaped Akrotiri Vessel Sink is carved in grigio sandstone, a new material with dark veins swirling into a field of gray. Akrotiri is a Minoan Bronze Age site that was destroyed by a volcanic eruption and covered in ash, which in turn preserved much of the settlements artifacts.
