Details
Unlike the rest of the Saniflo pump range which work on a macerator the Sanibest uses an actual grinder system. The Sanibest is meant for situations where what goes down the toilet is out of your control. It is ideal for rental units, offices, warehouse and public bathrooms. The Sanibest was created to deal with foreign sanitary articles that were flushed down the toilet.

Key features:
  • Build a complete bathroom 25 feet below the sewer line or 150 feet away from a soil stack.
  • Simple installation- only 4 connections to install
  • The grinder pump is connected to the spigot of a horizontal rear discharge toilet
  • The toilet tank is connected to the water supply
  • The grinder pump is connected to the small diameter discharge pipe work
  • The grinder pump is connected to the electrical supply
  • 10-20 second operating cycle resulting in minimal power consumption
  • Sanibest automatically adjusts the input rate from other fixtures (priority to toilet water)
The inside of the Sanibest is comprised of a pressure chamber, which starts and stops the unit, and the motor, which drives the stainless steel cutting blade and the pump. When the flush is activated, the water flowing into the Sanibest activates a micro switch in the pressure chamber, which in turn starts the motor. The motor is sealed for life in an oil filled enclosure. A common spindle/shaft drives the impeller and the blades. The moving parts therefore are kept to an absolute minimum. Water and organic waste matter, enter the chamber and are reduced to slurry as the blades rotate at 3600 RPM. The reduced solids are picked up at the bottom and the impeller mounted beneath the motor ejects the waste.
The unit pumps the effluent upward to 18 feet and/or 150 feet horizontally (with gravity fall). Once the water level in the container goes down, the micro switch deactivates. A normal operating cycle for the Sanibest takes about 7-9 seconds depending upon the discharge pipe run configuration.

Additional plumbing fixtures Sanibest supports:
  • Sink
  • Urinal
  • Bidet
  • Washer (sink or tub required)
  • Shower (base required)
  • Tub (base required)
The wastewater from other sanitary fixtures is discharged into the Sanibest via two 1½-inch inlets on either side of the housing. The discharge elbow on top of the Sanibest can be rotated 360 degrees depending on the discharge installation. A non-return valve (included in assembly) prevents back flow into the unit.
This incredible, unique system lets you install an entire bathroom in formerly unworkable or impractical spaces.
The Sanibest unit must be connected to the Saniflo rear discharge toilet. It is highly recommended for the grinder to be connected to a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) circuit.

Q:How often should the unit be cleaned. Also should it cycle by itself all the time, if not how do you adjust it so it only activates when either a flush or water is running thru it.
A:

Saniflo Recommends using the descaler once a month. When the flush is activated, the water flowing into the pump activates a micro switch in the pressure chamber, which in turn starts the motor.

I have had my Saniflo Sanibest unit hooked up and have been using it for about 3 weeks now. The product has been working great! I installed it so I could setup a washer and dryer in my basement. It is setup so the washer drains into a laundry sink, which then drains into the sanibest pump. The sanibest works exactly as advertised, pumping the water out from the washer, up to the septic system. It is great to have the washer and dryer in the basement and out of the way of normal household traffic. I was very happy to be able to use the sanibest pump instead of having to dig out a crock in the cement floor and install a septic pump. The Saniflo solution was much simpler and cleaner to purchase and install. In regards to purchasing the unit from Quality Bath??_I have been very happy with your service. The product was shipped fast and as expected. I do appreciate that you were able to get my the shipping information when I didn??t receive it in an email??_thank you!
