I have the same unit and exactly the same two issues have occurred. Early on the magnet corroded and disintegrated. After two years of use the slide switch stopped resetting. With further use it could not be changed while the water was running. Now it does not work at all and the faucet is stuck in aeration mode. It cannot be changed to spray. We also have the smaller version of this faucet in an island sink and it is used less. The magnet never held as strongly as the main sink but so far is still intact. Recently the mode switch has stopped resetting.

Solid build quality for the most part. After 4 years of use two issues have occurred. Initially the sliding switch to change the spray pattern operated freely and would reset from spray when the water was turned off. It stopped reverting and remains on spray. Also the switch can no longer be moved if the water is on. Water flow must be reduced or turned off to switch on the spray. Secondly the magnet which holds the retractable spray head in place disintegrated. Now the head is held only loosely in place by the counterweight of the internal hose.
