Q:Just to clarify...I wish to recess this Robern R3 Series medicine cabinet into my bathroom wall. Is this mirrored medicine cabinet able to be both recessed or surface mounted? In the specifications section it reads “surface mounted” but it also states that a surface mount Kit may be purchased If it will be surface mounted. The images appear to show a recessed cabinet. Q:Is there a metal frame around the mirror that could be beveled or straight or is it all glass?
What color is the metal on the inside and outside?

There is no frame, but you can choose if you want the edge of your mirror beveled or flat. The inside is mirrored with aluminum sides, and the outside (which is meant to be recessed into the wall) is aluminum as well.
