Q:1. What is this "required" bolt for? 2. Also if Im installing disposal, do I need the required basket strainer? (Didn't I see in the q&a this sink fits a standard disposal?) Thanks!
A:

1. This bolt is required when you are NOT having a garbage disposal and have a thicker fireclay sink (e.g. Rohl Shaws). 2.If you are installing a garbage disposal you would need a flange which is generally included with your garbage disposal. However when installing a garbage disposal in a thicker fireclay sink you would need an extended flange. The Latosacna sinks do not require an extended flange.
