The tub does not have added insulation. You can use a freestanding tub filler for this. The holes are not pre-drilled.

This tub was a great find. High quality materials and good looking design with a perfect size for my space. The people at Quality Bath are excellent to deal with, and are quick to respond to follow up questions. All in all, I’m very pleased with the choice I made after comparing several places.
