Furnishing your bathroom with a freestanding tub is the best way to make your bathtub a central decorative focal point. A freestanding bath is placed away from the walls - anywhere you want – and you can enjoy the view from all sides. A free standing bath is stylish, many of them are large and bold too. You can choose from the large selection a traditional free standing tub, a transitional freestanding bathtub and a contemporary/modern free standing bath tub.

The majority of freestanding tubs are the freestanding soaking tub, but there is a generous selection of the freestanding air bath tub, along with a small selection of whirlpool freestanding bathtubs and freestanding air –whirlpool combo tubs. The nature of the free standing tubs installation allows for a very diverse selection of shapes, sizes and designs. A great number of free standing baths are literally works of sculpted art.

One important point to bear in mind is that many free standing tubs cannot accommodate deck mounted tub fillers/tub faucets, and require you to get a freestanding tub filler to be placed near the tub. (They look beautiful, by the way!) Refer to products specs, or contact our sales team, for more information regarding individual freestanding tubs.

Material:

By far the most common freestanding tub today is the freestanding acrylic bathtub. This material is lightweight, easy to manufacture and practical for everyday use. However, you have a nice selection of non acrylic freestanding tubs too, though they tend to cost more. For the more exquisite loving, solid surface/man made stone freestanding tubs are an excellent choice. These tubs are made of unique, custom blended natural materials that are placed into a bathtub mold in the factory and solidified. The result is a tub that is one piece, with thin and sleek panels. Solid surface/man made stone also has a great, smooth feel whenever your skin comes in contact with it. If you want to be truly adventurous, you can choose a copper bathtub, a wood bathtub and more.
