When I bought this same sink in red about 9 years ago I was concerned that it might be too fragile. I'm a messy and frequent cook and have washed many heavy pans in the sink with no problems whatsoever. I love this sink!! I'm remodeling my kitchen and can no longer use the red. Will be re-ordering in white.
beautiful sink! the only thing i didn't like was a hole on the side of the sink that didn't allow me to expose the front lip as much as i'd like. assuming it's how it was molded?
My Herbeau sink arrived in a timely manner and in perfect condition. It was successfully installed in a custom-made cabinet, and has been a much complimented feature in my new kitchen. The one thing I would like to mention to potential buyers is watching for pre-drilled holes on the upper side edges of the sink (they were probably made for some construction purpose by Herbeau.) If your sink has them, you will need to position it carefully so the holes aren't seen when viewing your sink from the side.
We absolutely love our Herbeau kitchen sink! Whenever people come over, they compliment us on the sink. Even though we got a completely new kitchen, everyone's eyes go straight to the sink. It sets off the entire kitchen so beautifully.
I'm in love with my Herbeau sink! It is a very large & deep sink which is so convenient to store all the messy dishes out of sight until you can get to them. After doing the dishes there's plenty of room to pop my little 20 lb. terriers in there for a quick & easy bath! A true farm sink, it can handle anything from a huge watermelon to a dozen lobsters...even a large roasting pan straight from the hot oven! Now THAT'S a SINK!! It's also so easy to clean with the stainproof, chip proof fireclay surface, it always looks perfect & brand new. It's practically indestructible however if you drop a heavy blunt object you may get a ding in the coated surface. When I first saw one, it was an Herbeau that had been in use for over 12 years and had the loveliest finish that wasn't quite as shiny as my new one but I just loved it & had to have one. Once mine arrived (at an unbelievably competitive price through Quality Bath compared to the showrooms) it was very shiny but knowing how beautifully that shine "mellows" over time, I'm looking forward to it but currently enjoying every minute I use my beautiful sink. I get nothing but compliments. It's the perfect blend of classic traditional functional modern & convenient! I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend one to a friend.
