As all FRANKE products are: hefty, well built, good materials and of course with a price to match (albeit the vendor in this case had a sale going on so we saved about 20%). I believe this version of the product that we first purchased some 15 years ago for our remodelled kitchen is BETTER than the original. The original's stainless steel construction was coated with some type of clear plastic/resin/who knows, that in the years that followed, even though it never wore off, turned moldy black-ish (like a shower that's not cleaned) BETWEEN the stainless steel rods and the coating. This one is pure unadulterated stainless so it should stay looking new much longer.
