Q:1. Does the Old Town knob mount flush with the cabinet/drawer front (as shown in the picture), or does the "stem" at the base of the knob show? IMO, having the stem protrude would make it easier to grab the pull.
2. How sturdy is the 1" pull? Another brand had labeled their 1" glass pull as "for decorative use only".

The knob mounts flush with the cabinet. It does not protrude out further. The knob is sturdy enough to handle cabinet doors.
