This is the worse product designed by Dreamline. The shower door lacks any sort of splashguard at the bottom of the door. Water splashes under the door and onto the bathroom door. This is a poorly designed door. Do yourself a favor and buy ANY door other than this one. I had to have my contractor come back out to uninstall the shower door and install a new one. Fortunately I was able to return the defective door for a full refund, but the labor cost alone set me back several hundred dollars.

The differences in the Essence and Essence-H appear mainly in the wall profiles, guide blocks, and threshold requirements. The Essence has a much less obvious wall profile while the Essence-H wall profile has a larger presence. The Essence has 3 guide blocks that will be installed to your threshold while the Essence-H only requires 1 guide block. The Essence requires a 2-3/4” minimum threshold width while the Essence-H requires a minimum 3-1/4” flat threshold space for the wall profiles and 2-3/4” of threshold space for the center guide block. Both models can accommodate up to ¼” for out of plumb conditions. The Sapphire is a hybrid between the Essence and the Essence-H doors, with some slight differences. The Sapphire requires 3” of threshold across the width of the door. The Sapphire also features DreamLine’s SafeClose bumpers for enhanced safety.
