So you’ve chosen to install an Elkay sink with Perfect Drain. Bravo! The aptly-named Perfect Drain is pretty perfect: it’s seamless, smooth, sanitary, and stylish. No gap means no grime… but does it also mean no garbage disposal?
The great minds at Elkay have truly thought of everything. The Perfect Drain is engineered for compatibility with industry-leading disposals by Insinkerator, so you can have your drain and your disposal, too!
Installing an Insinkerator garbage disposal with an Elkay Perfect Drain is easy. All you need is an Insinkerator disposer with Quick Lock mounting and a couple of basic tools. Here’s how:
- Separate the top ring (stamped with “Insinkerator”) from the rest of the flange assembly.
- Underneath the sink, place the collar on the drain, using the snap ring to hold it in place.
- Use the included screws to secure the collar; tighten firmly.
- Attach the disposal body to the flange, tightening with a screwdriver.
- Admire your drain that still looks as perfect as always!
Be aware that only Insinkerator disposers with Quick Lock are compatible with Perfect Drain sinks; using any other disposal may void your sink’s warranty.
