24 Top Home Design Blogs of 2018

Another year is drawing to a close (already?!), and we’re looking back at everything that’s happened in 2018 – the good, the bad, the ugly, and the extraordinarily beautiful.

As always, we spent our year keeping up with the best of the web so that we can make life easy, colorful, and beautiful for our readership, and we’ve come across extra-special blogs that inspire us on a regular basis.

In no particular order, these are our 24 faves. You may recognize some of them (or even many of them), but others are hidden gems that deserve the spotlight. The design blogs you need to follow:

1. In/Out

   This isn’t your average one-blogger, one-viewpoint page; it’s a veritable treasure chest of chic, colorful inspiration – interiors, travel, art, and interviews – written by a team of design-world veterans with personalities to match every reader’s style.

   

2. DPages

   A sleek, chic collection of art, architecture, and design (all neatly organized into categories), DPages is a sophisticated magazine for the beauty lover. And it doesn’t just leave you hanging – the affiliated DShop has all the goodness you’ll find in its pages!

   

3. Copy Cat Chic

   Stop coveting and start decorating. Copy Cat Chic’s founder, Reichel Broussard, believes that “anyone can live large on a small budget” – and she puts her money where her mouth is, showcasing a collection of today’s hottest trends at prices within the budget of the average Joe.

   

4. Chris Loves Julia

   This adorable couple feels like your most awesome couple friends – just with a way better house. Their detailed house tours (it’s a cozy A-frame cabin!) and posts that cover everything from fabulous gift guides to doable DIYs will keep you reading and riveted.

   

5. Heather Bullard

   Give your surfing an international touch today. Blogger Pink Dogs (AKA Elisabetta) is based in – you guessed it! – Italy, and she’s predictably on-point when it comes to interiors trends and homes around the world. (Spoiler alert: it’s not about dogs.)

   

8. Thou Swell

   Look at the design world through fresh, young eyes. Kevin O’Gara is just starting out as a designer, but his perspective is both innovative and wise. Join him as he emerges on the design scene and be swept away in the beauty and enthusiasm of his posts.

   

9. Sarah Awkisombe

   When you want the unvarnished truth presented to you with the straightforwardness of your most honest friend, Sarah’s ready to oblige. Her self-proclaimed “no bull” style of writing reflects her refreshingly bold, edgy, no-holds-barred decor inclination.

   

10. Nonagon Style

    Like many bloggers, Stefanie started out chronicling her home renovation. That account developed into a multifaceted blog loaded with decor, travel, and entertaining tips in addition to the basis of it all: a gorgeous 100-year-old limestone infused with new life.

    No, your color receptors are not on the blink; Vosgesparis is delightfully black-and-white and minimalist, inspired by Scandinavian design and industrial style (no, that’s not an oxymoron!). Bonus: stylish founder Desiree also allows readers a look into her own home and life.

    

16. Pulp

    Pulp Design Studios specializes in creating ultra-personalized spaces; no standard plans or cookie-cutter designs for these experts. Their blog is correspondingly unique and colorful, chock-full of posts that go beyond the ordinary.

    Shine some California sunlight into your life with the San Fran-based Niche Interiors journal. You’ll explore the West Coast’s finest showrooms, shops, designs, and finds. Our favorites: the deeply satisfying before & afters that prove the scope of the design team’s talent.

    Hey, when an Aussie designer demands that you get in her home, you get in her home. Blogger and design lover Emily doesn’t just show you her favorite Australian spaces and goods, she tells you the story behind them. Make yourself at home!

    

19. Seasons in Colour

    Leave your neutrals behind. Seasons in Colour will light up your screen with a dazzling array of full-color decor. And yes, you can check out entire pages in your favorite color for those dreary days when you need a colorful pick-me-up!

    

20. Copperline
