This was a nice looking dispenser, but it leaked from the start. I contacted Quality Bath to see what could be done and they gave me some instruction to thin out the soap, but if that didn't work, to contact California Faucets. I did that. California Faucets gave me the same instructions (that my soap must be too thick) but after complaining twice, they sent me a new plastic insert for the soap. The second insert had the same problem. It took many pumps to get it primed and then the leaking started all over again. I'd actually bought a different kitchen soap dispenser from Quality bath (the Axor Montreux). But I didn't like the way it looked as much as I wanted. There was a significant lag between my purchase of the Axor and the install (due to contractor delays) so when it was time to install, I decided to keep it in its box, never used. Then I decided to buy the California Faucet dispenser which I liked the look of much better. But form trumps function, After the two failed plastic inserts for the California Faucets dispenser, my husband removed it and installed the Axor dispenser. We used the exact same Dawn dish soap. Works perfectly. No leaking at all. I believe I got a faulty soap dispenser from California Faucet, but rather than replace the whole unit, all I got was another faulty plastic insert. Clearly that did not fix the problem. I have always found Quality Bath to provide good pricing for quality products. But if you get a defect, watch out because you are stuck with it. The California Faucets dispenser was about $200 and never worked. Good money down the drain.
