The shower arm is solid, great quality. The look is very modern, I like the look of the flat wall plate, there are not many options out there for this modern look, at such a good price! Be aware that the wall plate is not slide in, it is threaded and screws onto the shower arm, so its position is fixed. This might represent a problem if you are replacing an existing shower arm and the pipe connection sits deep in the wall. In a new installation, you must calculate the length of your feeding pipes accordingly. My installer did not realize this was not a slide in plate and by the time he went to install the shower arm, the pipe connection was too deep in the wall. We were still able to use it by machining the wall plate to get rid of the thread and slide it in. It would have been nice to do it the right way to begin with.... Our mistake
