Details

The Saniplus system enables the installation of an entire bathroom 15 feet below a sewer line or 150 feet away from a soil stack.

  • Toilet
  • Urinal
  • Sink
  • Shower
  • Bathtub

Features and benefits:

  • The Saniplus has vibration absorbers which reduces the operating sound of the pump by 10db.
  • The motor for the Saniplus is sealed for life in an oil filled enclosure
  • The Saniplus was designed so that moving parts are kept to an absolute minimum
  • The macerator blades rotate at 3600 RPM
  • The Saniplus has a normal cycle of 10-15 seconds keeping power consumption at a minimum
  • The discharge elbow at the top of the Saniplus can be turned either left or right or back (depending on the discharge installation)
  • A pre-installed non-return valve prevents back flow into the unit
  • The Saniplus pumps the effluent upward to 15 feet and/or 150 feet horizontally (with gravity fall)
  • When the water level goes down the micro switch deactivates the unit until the flush is activated again
  • Installation (extremely simple installation)
  • The macerator/pump is connected to the spigot of a horizontal rear discharge toilet
  • The toilet tank is connected to the water supply
  • The macerator/pump is connected to the small diameter discharge pipe work
  • The macerator/pump is connected to the electrical supply

Important factors:

  • An internal pressure chamber starts and stops the unit and the motor drives the stainless steel macerator blades and pump
  • The motor is activated by a micro switch in the pressure chamber when flushed
  • The impeller and macerator blades are driven by a common spindle/shaft
  • The centrifugal force causes the reduced solids to be expelled through a grill into the container where it is picked up by the impeller pump mounted beneath the motor
  • The wastewater from other sanitary fixtures is discharged into the Saniplus via two 2-inch inlets on either side of the housing. Either one or both inlets can be used as necessary
  • When adding a bathtub or shower a base in required. This base should be made out of 2" x 6" (minimum) or 2” x 8” (recommended) to allow for the installation of a P-trap and the required 1/4”per foot gravity flow towards the pump unit.
  • This unit has been designed with a vent connection on the lid. All plumbing codes require connection to a vent system. Please note that the vent system should be a two-way air vent. The use of mechanical vents, air admittance valves or similar devices are not permitted as these are considered one-way air vent systems. It is also highly recommended for the macerator/pump to be connected to a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) circuit.
  • The Saniplus unit must be connected to a Saniflo rear discharge toilet.
  • The Saniplus has been certified to American and Canadian Standards. Macerating standard; US: CSA Certified & IAPMO (UPC) listed - ASME A112.3.4, CA: Macerating Standard CSA B45.9.

Dimensions: 10 1/2" H x 20" W x 6 3/4" D
Amperage: 7.2
Voltage: 110
HP: .4

System requires a rear spigot Saniflo toilet.

These units are fantastic

After 8 years of continuous daily use (toilet/shower/sink) the original Saniflo unit finally malfunctioned and I replaced it with another, purchased from Quality Bath. These units are fantastic, and Quality Bath had the best price and had it delivered to me in just a few days. I am now looking into having the original unit repaired as a backup, if not too expensive, but don't expect that I'd need it for quite a while.

Different Application- Same Results!

Prior to three years ago, we had only used the Saniplus once but with good results. That means the client never had to call us with any problems, and that makes me happy. Since then I've had occasion to use the Saniplus in two slightly different applications, and these are the ones I'd like to share with you. Three years back I had occasion to assist with the design and fabrication of a kitchen trailer used for volunteer building projects. Versatility is key for accommodating different conditions on various sites. Power, propane, and water can be dealt with easily, but sewage disposal is a little more difficult. I decided to try the Saniplus. Connection was easy enough. We connected the 2" holding tank discharge to the toilet inlet on the pump, ran a 3/4" PVC discharge line to the nearest sewer line, plugged it in, and...it worked! No mess, no smell, no adjustments- just good results. Talk about versatility- our first project using this was a inner-city lot. We had to park the trailer across an alley from the building we were renovating. We ran the discharge line across the alley through cable ramps, through some planters, exposed up the side of the building and over the parapet, and dropped the discharge into a plumbing vent line. Easy as could be, and it served us well for the duration of the project. The unit has continued to work well since then on many projects. Remarkable, since we are pushing the limits of its design (I assume it was not intended for commercial kitchen-type waste). Based on the success with that installation, I continued to "push the envelope" with another application. My wife and I decided to spend more time in this volunteer work, and figured the best way to do it was to sell the house and live full-time in our motor home. After years of tending to the sewage dumping chores, I knew I didn't want to have to deal with that on an increased level. So I ordered another Saniplus. This installation required a little more plumbing reconfiguration since I wanted it to be semi-permanent. After installing PVC ball valves on the tanks, a removable exterior vent line to allow for travel, and making the tank installation removable to allow for service and/or the re-installation of a gravity drain set-up, I plugged it in and...it worked! I did learn one lesson quickly, though. Do not simply open the 3" black water valve and expect the pump to keep up- it won't (logically!). Fortunately I performed this test with clear water only! I now know to open the valve fully for 3-4 seconds, close it, and let the pump deal with it. When it shuts off, repeat. It usually takes 10-15 cycles to empty the 50 gallon tank. This process only applies to the black water tank, as the pump easily keeps up the constant discharge from the grey water tank. Again, the best part of this installation is no mess, no smell, no clean-up, no adjustments- just good results. Now my wife is even willing to handle this task! A good product makes life easier, more pleasant. Thank you for an easier and more pleasant life.

We like the Saniflo system and use in our basement.

We like the Saniflo system and use in our basement. We purchased from you because the macerator from a previous model was damaged. The unit works well but seems to not flush as well as our previous one. I have tried diagnosing it but can't figure it out. We have a shower attached that causes the most problems. It is like the pump is double-clutching whenever we use the shower and makes a horrible gulping sound. As a result we only use the shower in emergencies. The toilet works fine, however, and that's the main reason we purchased this model.

I WOULD NOT BE WITH OUT ONE NO MATER WHAT THE COST.

I HAVE HAD THE SANIFLO SYSTEM FOR YEARS UNTIL I BOUGHT A NEW REPLACEMENT FROM QUALITY BATH. I WOULD NOT BE WITH OUT ONE NO MATER WHAT THE COST. IT WORKS FINE, JUST THE WAY IT'S SUPPOSED TO. VERY GOOD CUSTOMER CARE ALSO.

Installations would not have been economically possible without  the use of your units.

I have installed 2 saniflo units in 2 different homes. They both are working well. They have not been in use long enough to determine if they will work well with out  possibly people flushing incorrect items down them and clogging the units or exit piping. But both installations would not have been economically possible without  the use of your units. Enjoy the New Year
