Best Soap Dispenser EVER!

The Rohl soap dispenser was recommended to us in a high end kitchen showroom. I've been to too many homes where the soap dispensers turn into 'art' because they don't work well or are too bothersome to refill. The Rohl is sleek. The dispenser tube is long enough to extend into the sink, so any drips (although I've had none so far) go into the sink and not on the counter. The dispenser tube is lined to eliminate metal erosion (you know, when the soap comes out green from the inner metal eroding!). Quality Bath had the absolute best price on this item! I ordered two and I am thrilled with their performance so far!!! The sales person recommended thinning the soap or using thinner soap to avoid clogs. It did take us some time to get the pump primed and the soap flowing nicely. I purchased tubing by the foot from my home improvement store . . .so removed the straw that came with the Rohl and connected the tubing directly to the pump. Cut the tubing long enough to reach from the bottom of the pump down into the bottom of a large soap container. place a stopper in the bottom of the tube to keep the soap from draining out (this is temporary . . . I used an earplug! Worked great!). Install the pump. Once installed (i.e. screwed down onto the counter), the top of the pump pops off easily. Feed the tube up through the hole (you'll need a second pair of hands to support the tube). Fill the tube up to the top with soap, turn the pump upside down and fill it with soap. Slide the end of the tube onto the underside of the pump. This part is tricky . . .the soap is slippery . . . a rag helps to keep your grip. You can stuff a bit of rag or paper towel into the hole of the pump attached to the counter to support the tube and to keep the soap that overflows from dripping down under the sink. I had to run some hot water over the end of the tube to help it slide over the pump. Re-attach the pump head. Quickly pop out the stopper and insert the tube into the large soap container into the soap. After a few pumps to get things going, soap should flow nicely. I cut a hole in the side of my large soap bottle so I can refill without removing the tube. I installed two Rohls and the one under my main sink is in a super tight, almost unreachable place . . . .so coming up with an easy refill / maintenance system was a must! The install was a bit fussy and messy but now I am absolutely thrilled with my Rohl soap dispensers!!

It's a good product

It has a good look, is good quality and has a good finish. We replaced a Grohe with the Rohl and while the Rohl has plastic parts and Grohe had brass, the Rohl seems better made. It has a long nozzle so it allows room for pans to fit under it in the sink and the reaches the dish. Although some review say you can fill it from the top, you cannot. We've had it several months and it does not leak around the edges and hasn't clogged. The Grohe lasted two years; I think this will last longer. It's a soap dispenser. It will do it's job and looks fine.
