This sink is awesome. It's like washing your dishes in a bathtub. Everyone who comes into our new kitchen mentions how much they like our sink. It came extremely well packaged. This is a great deal - it looks just as good as sinks that cost twice as much. I would recommend getting the bottom grate to protect from scuffs. The grate also allows for water to drain below your dishes.

Whitehaus Reversible Sink 11/21/2012 What can I say?! You haven't heard from me because I've had absolutely no issues regarding my new sink. From the purchase to shipping to installation and now using it in my new kitchen. It's wonderful! It was a major improvement over the cast iron builder-grade sink that came with our house. Since we completed our remodel just a couple of months ago, all of our family members have commented on how nice is is to have this nice deep sink. Guests have commented on how beautiful it is. http://pinterest.com/pin/15058979974612366/ The only issue we had (if you can call it an issue) was the depth of drain that required my contractor to have to purchase a different drain basket (part that attaches to the dissposal) because he assumed it was a standard size. I guess the issue was that he didn't check. It's apparently deeper than the standard size that he was used to. As I am a kitchen designer, I created the installation plans that were also outside of my contractors past experience. We installed it without a base cabinet. I instructed him to build a structure to support the sink that is hidden behind a fabric skirt because I wanted a vintage farmhouse look. I doubt there were any cost savings in doing it this way because of the additional labor it took, though the results were fabulous and just as I had imagined. An added bonus was the additional space below the sink for storage. This would not have been so if I had used a cabinet because the sink is so deep.

Great sink 11/21/2012 My wife and I purchased this sink for a new house we built, as we really wanted a nice farmhouse sink, but we didn't want to break the bank. Well, this one fits the bill. We have been very pleased with this sink and I would highly recommend it. I love the farmhouse sink because of its huge single bowl as opposed to two small bowls in a normal sink. It makes washing dishes so much easier and I actually enjoy washing what doesn't go in the dishwasher now! Two comments, I like the offset drain so you can work on one side and not cover the drain, and I highly recommend the grate for the bottom to protect the sink if you drop a pot or something. It's also doubly nice as it keeps everything raised up so that water is always able to drain easily at the bottom. Two thumbs up!

One of the best pieces in our kitchen 11/20/2012 I was a little skeptical when my wife wanted a farmhouse style sink, since I was going to go with the stainless steel dual bowl. I would like to say that I am extremely happy that I did not go with the stainless sink. This is the perfect sink. Beautiful, deep, and the functionality was exceptional. Everyone that comes over comments on it. Great for filling and cleaning large pots. I will recommend a couple of things. make sure you get a faucet with a sprayer built in or added in. since it is mostly flat, rinsing with a sprayer is pretty essential.also make sure you get the grate to protect the bottom. I believe that is an automatic option, but if not, definitely get it. One last thing about Quality Bath. I shopped around online quite a bit and they had the best price, customer service was fantastic and it was packaged very well. I will ABSOLUTELY order from Quality Bath again.

Looks good in my kitchen 4/2/2012 The sink looks good in my kitchen. A small problems though. The sink requires the 'deep' drain flange, which was contadictory to what the Whitehaus rep told me. Also, it was back orderd adding an extra 4 weeks to the delivery time but at the price I paid it was ok to wait.

Whitehaus sink 4/2/2012 My parent bought a Rohl and I thought it was nice but I actually like our Whitehaus better. It looks great in our kitchen, the surface seems totally durable and so far no complaints. I like the styling of the sink, it is a little more modern but still timeless. The only part I dont like is the stainless protective base which could be a little better made but no actual problems so far.

Great Price 3/23/2012 This is a nice sink. It looks very beautiful in my kitchen and so far I am very happy with it. It is priced great for a farm sink. I actually had two Rohl farm sinks in our last home, one for the kitchen and one for the laundry room. Which I also purchased from Quality Bath. I purchased the Whitehaus sink this time because of the price. We are on a tighter budget this time, so I was willing to sacrifice a little bit to be able to have a farm sink. After having a farm sink, I knew I really wanted one again. Even if it wasn't a Rohls. The Rohl sink had thicker rims and round bottom front corners which to me looks nicer, but not twice the price nicer. So its just a matter of personal taste and/or price. There is nothing wrong with this sink. And I love Quality Bath. They have the best prices anywhere and their customer service is Awesome. My husband has been a plumbing contractor for 30 years and he couldn't get the plumbing fixtures that Quality Bath carries for less from his plumbing supply house. I had gotten a quote from them and they could not even come close to this price. You can't go wrong with Quality Bath, they are the Best.

We love the sink - highly recommend the matching in-sink grid 3/23/2012 Our sink was installed last summer and has been an absolute joy. We did it as part of a complete kitchen remodel and as part of that built a cabinet to hold it. Our carpenter noted that, just as it warns, it's not absolutely symmetrical so you really need to decide placement and measure carefully before installation. Arrived promptly and very well packed. We have a colonial-style kitchen and the look is perfect. On a practical level, the large size (single sink) is wonderful, it holds the largest pots, cookie sheets or frying pans with their handles - flat - much easier to clean. The sink itself is extremely easy to clean just using soap as if it were another dish. We bought both the custom drain plug and the metal grid that fits over the entire bottom of the sink with a hole for the drain. The grid is absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend it - we bought it just to protect the sink from being marked up by pans but discovered that it also restores the only advantage a two-sink system had, which is the ability to pour soapy water down the drain without swirling it all over the just-washed dishes. With the grid, the water just flows under them - sort of two sinks horizontally instead of vertically! The drain, on the other hand, was pretty useless and frustrating and I simply bought one of those commercial sink drain-strainers and put it in - works fine. I did read on the web concerns about this type of sink cracking with over-tightening of the flange (we asked the plumber to do it by hand) or with boiling water poured directly into a cold sink (we are careful to either run the hot water first to warm up the sink or to pour pasta water into a dishpan rather than directly into the sink). So far so good, it looks great. I also saw concerns on the web about this type of sink not draining well - ours drains liquids easily and completely but because of the size, solids that might be in the water don't always make it all the way to the drain (ours is asymmetrical). Not a big deal. Overall we absolutely love it - one of the best buys we ever made. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Am giving it 4 instead of 5 stars only because we've had it for about a year - not long enough to know how it will hold up over time.

I am so very pleased with my Whitehaus farmhouse sink! 3/28/2011 I am so very pleased with my Whitehaus farmhouse sink! I was worried about it arriving unbroken but no problem since it had been packed so well. It was a little difficult installing since the old cabinet need to be retrofitted to accommodate it but, it was totally worth it. I researched these type of sinks for several months before purchasing the Whitehaus. They can be a bit expensive but Quality Bath had a great price. It looks gorgeous in my kitchen and everyone comments on it.

AND yes we loooove the sink! 3/21/2011 We were really impressed with your packaging. Never seen this or any other kind of product so well packed to illuminate any chance of damage. Simply amazing! AND yes we loooove the sink! A note to future purchasers: Make sure you allow for some flexibility in your preinstall setting before you install the sink. Not all sinks like this is specific to the dimensions. For us the top was slightly wider than the bottom, so we had to make small custom install changes to fit the sink in perfectly.

it’s beautiful all the time, even when it has dishes in it! 3/21/2011 We really are enjoying our sink…it’s beautiful all the time, even when it has dishes in it! It is a single farmhouse sink, and I will never have “2 sinks” (divided) again!

This was my first purchase from you but I am sure that it won't be my last. 3/17/2011 I installed the new Whitehaus kitchen sink today that I bought from you last month. First let me say how impressed I was with the method of packing that you used to protect the sink during shipment. I can't remember ever receiving an item so well packaged. I was very happy with the quality of the finish on the sink as well. But the most important test came when my customer walked into the house, the look on her face was priceless, she could not quit smiling. This was my first purchase from you but I am sure that it won't be my last. Thanks so much.

The quality is first rate and the service/shipping was more than satisfactory. 3/16/2011 I first purchased a Whitehaus apron front sink for our summer house in Maine; we did a complete kitchen remodel of an 1840's federal style farmhouse and wanted a very traditional look for the kitchen and the apron from sink was perfect. The large size was a good scale for our design and was a great companion to the black slate counter tops. When we decided to remodel the kitchen in our winter home in coastal NC we wanted a large single bowl sink with the added requirement of an offset drain so we could add a slide out trash can under one side. The choices are very limited with those requirements and we didn't want stainless steel in our, again, very traditional kitchen. Even though we did not expose the front of the sink this time, the large single bowl sink worked out well, the quality is first rate and the service/shipping was more than satisfactory. The only complaint was that per our cabinet builder we ordered the undermount support bars and found them to be very cheaply made closet rod looking pieces with lightweight stamped metal end brackets. It turned out we didn't need them after all and I was happy to be able to return them. If there had been a photo of them on your website instead of just a description I would never have ordered them. In terms of advice I would caution that if the sink is undermounted the space underneath will be limited and in order to have an undermounted trash pull-out some creative design is needed. The standard bottom mounted Hafele models that would fit the 17" we had to work with would only take a powder room sized mini-trash can so we found a larger foot print but shorter trash can at an industrial supply house and had the cabinet builder adapt a side mount pull out mechanism for us. We have the capacity of a standard tall kitchen can in a lower profile but fatter unit. It takes a bit more of a bend over to pull it out but it works fine and holds a generous amount of trash. It can seem like a gamble when shopping via the internet but our experience with Quality Bath was great and I'll certainly keep you on my list of places to check when I'm shopping for fixtures and accessories.

Do I need to purchase both the basket stainer and the waste disposer trim?
If you are not using a garbage disposal then you would need the basket strainer only and if you are going to be using a garbage disposal then you would need a waste disposer trim only.
Answered by Naomi -
What does it mean that this sink is reversible?
This sink is finished on all four sides so if you need the drain on the left as opposed to on the right then you can flip the sink around.
Answered by Naomi -
Does the Waste Disposer Trim fit with any garbage disposal?
It fits with most brands but not with all. It will not fit a Waste King disposal. It will fit the following: 1.) Insinkerator (ISE)- not Evolution 2.) Kenmore (Sears) 3.) Maytag 4.) Ace (Hardware) 5.) JennAir 6.) Whirlpool (select models only) 7.) Kitchen Aid
Answered by Naomi -
Are there support bars available for this sink?
Yes, Whitehaus offers support bars and we can get them for you. The model number is WHUMSB (set of 2).
Answered by Naomi -
What color is the matching grid, White?
No, the grid is a Stainless Steel.
Answered by Naomi -
Do I need to order the sink before I install my counter tops?
Fireclay sinks may have slight variations in size so we recommend having the sink on site when the counter tops are manufactured or installed.
Answered by Aliza -
Why do I need to purchase an "extra thick" strainer or waste disposal stopper?
Fireclay is a thicker material than most standard sinks such as stainless steel and therefore requires extra thick strainers or stoppers. Whitehaus offers these accessories and they are available as an option on this product page.
Answered by Adina -
Why is the drain offset in this sink?
The drain is offset for aesthetic purposes. An interesting point to keep in mind is that because the drain is offset and the plumbing will be offset underneath the cabinet, you will have a larger open area of cabinet space underneath the sink, next to the plumbing.
