Shipping was fast and free. The price that Quality Bath charged for the unit was great. I wanted to install a bathroom in the basement without breaking up the floor. The Saniflo was the ticket. Easy installation and it works great. I'm very happy with this purchase.
Saniflo Sanitop Toilet with Macerator Series Pump 017 - Sanitop
Sanitop Toilet with Macerator Series Pump 017
Install a Toilet Anywhere You Want. High Level Of Styling.
Installing a HALF bathroom where you want is often difficult and sometimes even impossible. The main drainpipe is either too far away, or the new bathroom or sink will be lower than the drainpipe, making conventional installation unworkable.
The Sanitop is a system that is used to install a complete bathroom up to 12 feet below the sewer line, or even up to 120 feet away from a soil stack. It can handle the effluent from a toilet and sink.
A normal operating cycle for Sanitop takes about 7-9 seconds depending upon the discharge pipe run configuration; power consumption is therefore minimal.
A non-return valve, which comes already assembled on the discharge elbow, prevents back flow into the unit.
The design of this model consists of vibration absorbers which enable the reduction of operating sound by reducing the transmitted sounds from any location where such resonance transmission could occur. This new design reduces the operating sound of this pump by 10dB.
The Sanitop is simplicity itself to install; there are just four connections.
- The macerator/pump is connected to the spigot of a horizontal rear discharge toilet.
- The toilet tank is connected to the water supply.
- The macerator/pump is connected to the small diameter discharge pipe work.
- The macerator/pump is connected to the electrical supply.
This Sanitop system includes the Sanitop macerator pump and Saniflo rear spigot toilet

we are quite pleased with the Saniflo Upflush system we purchased from Quality Bath. 7/26/2011 we are quite pleased with the Saniflo Upflush system we purchased from Quality Bath. We have it in the basement of our cabin and if not for this type of system we would have not been able to have a second bathroom , The instructions for install were not too difficult to follow and it looks like a normal toilet , we have painted the black pipe white with a small table in front of the pipe . Very happy with our purchase.

Sanifli Sanitop - Good Product 11/21/2012 This product works as advertised, the install was relatively straight forward. Took a few hours to install ( granted I prepped the area in advance) . Ran into one small issue with a part missing but I called the vendor and it was at my door step a day or so later. Been installed for 6 months now with no issues or concerns. Great product for a bathroom that need to flush up….

I like the ease of installation. 7/25/2011 I work in @ a big box store. I didnt go with the basement toilet we have on display, because it sat on a platform & the saniflo does not. I like the ease of installation. The only concern I have is the water level in the toilet is way low.

I was very pleased with our recent purchase of a Saniflo toilet system 7/25/2011 I just wanted to inform you that I was very pleased with our recent purchase of a Saniflo toilet system. We purchased from Quality Bath because of price and pre purchase information you provided. The toilet arrived quickly and we contracted with a plummer to make the installation because of the challenge of cutting into a difficult to access septic line in the ceiling of our basement for both the outflow line and the air vent. We have had the unit in operation for over three months and it performs every bit as well as a conventional toilet. We also installed a sink to the system to complete the basement 1/2 bath. I hesitated for years in my purchase of a pump-up toilet but based on my experience with the Saniflo system I would do it again without hesitation. One tip recommended by both plummers we implemented simplified installation. Rather than install a separate air vent line or attempt to vent directly to the outside, the plummer tapped the top of the septic line prior to the outflow connection for the air vent line. Makes logical sense and works very well.

Toilet looks and functions great. 7/25/2011 Toilet looks and functions great. One of our installers even commented that he may buy one. I highly recommend the extension pipe if you can install it against a non-finished wall.

We have been delighted with the Saniflo Sanitop we purchased from Quality Bath. 7/22/2011 We have been delighted with the Saniflo Sanitop we purchased from Quality Bath. With the clear and easy to follow directions, my father and I had it installed in my basement in no time. No home should have just one bathroom! The Saniflo operates quietly & efficiently and we have not had a single problem since we installed it two months ago. I was impressed with the quality and I loved the no slam toilet seat that we bought with it. We highly recommend your product to our friends & neighbors, in fact my sister installed one in her basement. Thanks for selling a superior product.

This product is truly one of the most amazing products I have ever installed 7/22/2011 This product is truly one of the most amazing products I have ever installed. Due to the poor economy my son and his family recently moved into my 4 bedroom 2 bath house. The house split the house nicely but we needed another bathroom for guests. The logical place was a closet in the foyer but my house is built on a concrete slab which would have to be cut and removed to allow for plumbing. Searching the internet I came upon your add and the rest is history. This system works perfectly, was delivered fast and free. All plumbing goes up through attic and into the garage where I connected fresh water to the the hotwater tank inlet and waste discharges into a 2 " sewage stack behind the washing machine. .The saniflo is fairly quiet, and also allows a drain for a sink .Dollar for dollar the saniflo was a great cost saver when compared to what was involved in getting a 4 " sewer line and fresh water to a conventional toilet. I highly recommend the saniflo, but unless you are skilled do it yourself type, seek some professional plumbing help, as the plumbing does requires some knowledge. Friends are amazed by the saniflo and often comment of a time or place where a saniflo could have been used.

I really like this toilet its easy to install and works great. 7/22/2011 I really like this toilet its easy to install and works great. The only thing someone might wan to know is that you need to vent it out some where for the gases so they have everything they need for the install. Other than that it works great was shipped in a very timely matter and the communication of shipping was great.

We didn’t fully understand from the product description that we needed to subtract three feet of lift for every 90º elbow 1/7/2011 I had converted a garage into a master bedroom suite a couple of years ago, but was unable to add a desired bathroom due to the location of the proposed bath and my existing sewer drain lines. I would have had to jackhammer approximately 15 feet of concrete and install a lift station to allow for a standard toilet system – the cost of which would have been exorbitant. After substantial online research into alternative solutions, I settled on the Saniflo Sanibest system. I installed this by myself (Purchasing Agent by trade) and, so far, am very pleased with the performance. (It’s been in service for about 1 month). My system supports a vanity sink and shower, as well. I’ve attached a couple of photos of the finished installation. I had a couple of questions before/during installation, and the Saniflo Customer Support was extremely helpful, and I never once had to wait to speak with a representative. Of course, as with any such purchase, my only concern is that support/parts, etc. will still be available for this system 10+ years down the road. We’ll just have to wait and see how that goes. All in all, I would highly recommend this system, and feel that anyone with basic handyman skills could successfully install it.

What is a macerator?
To "macerate" is to soften and break in pieces. The Saniflo macerating systems use a rotating cutting blade to liquefy human waste and toilet paper. When mixed with flushing water the waste is pumped into a sanitary sewer as a fine slurry.

What does it mean a "half bathroom". Which units can be included in the bathroom.
The sanitop can connect to a toilet and sink make it a perfect option when creating a "half bathroom" (Half bathroom refers to sink and toilet only, no tub or shower.)

I don't like how the pump looks behind the toilet. Is there anyway to hide it?
You can install the macerator behind the wal by using an 18" Saniflo extension pipe. When using the extension pipe, the toilet should be raised 3/8" for additional gravity flow toward the macerator.

How will I know if there is a problem with the unit or if it is starting to get backed up?
You can install a SaniAlarm. The SaniAlarm has a level pressure switch that triggers an alarm fixed on the top of the unit if the volume of water exceeds the maximum allowed level. The alarm emits a continuous 80 dB warning sound until it is switched off or the problem is rectified. The SaniAlarm is battery operated and can be installed on most Saniflo macerating units and gray water pumps. It has been designed to be installed on new or existing Saniflo installations as it is quickly fitted onto the lid of the Saniflo unit. Note: Saniflo recommends using a SaniAlarm for a behind the wall installation.

It says the toilet seat is not included, how do I know which one to purchase?
We offer toilet seats on this product page that have a soft close feature. If you do not want this feature you can purchase any standard elongated or round toilet seat (depending on the toilet model you select)
