Q:We'd like to purchase this warmer as a hardwired unit, in black. However, the timer does not appear to be available in black. Is this something that can be customized so it can blend nicely with the rest of the room?

You can use any in wall timer. The timer itself is totally independent from the towel warmer. Check your local hardware store for a black timer.
