The easy fix to complicated problems…The Saniswift is a modern design gray water which can be used anywhere in a home. The Saniswift allows you to add plumbing fixtures such as kitchen, laundry or bar sinks, dishwasher and even a washing machine through an indirect connection. The Saniswift offers opportunities you never dreamed were possible.
The Saniswift is a gray water pump that is ideally suitable for use in a basement apartment or anywhere in the house where additional fixtures are most wanted. It will pump the waste water away from a variety of sources such as: a kitchen sink, laundry sink, washing machine (indirect connection), dishwasher, bar sink, etc.
The Saniswift's modern style prevails over other bulky relics. This system offers powerful and economical pumping action in a compact, contemporary design. With unprecedented performance and features, this pump is unmatched in its class.
The inside of the Saniswift comprises of a pressure switch and circuit board assembly, which starts and stops the unit, and the motor, which drives the pump.
When the water enters the Saniswift, it activates a pressure switch which in turn starts the motor. The motor is sealed for life in an oil filled enclosure. A spindle/shaft drives the impeller and therefore the moving parts are kept to an absolute minimum.
The unit pumps the effluent upward to 14 feet and/or 140 feet horizontally (with gravity fall). Once the water is discharged and the water level in the container goes down, the pressure switch deactivates the unit until water enters the unit again. A normal operating cycle for the Saniswift can be as short as 2 - 10 seconds depending upon the discharge pipe run configuration; power consumption is therefore minimal.
In addition to a sink, the Saniswift will also accept and discharge the waste water from a variety of other sanitary fixtures such as: a kitchen sink, a shower, a urinal. When adding a shower, a base will have to be constructed. This base should be made out of a 2" x 6" (minimum) or 2” x 8” (recommended) on edge, to allow for the installation of a P-trap and the required 1/4” per foot gravity flow towards the pump unit.
The waste water from other sanitary fixtures is discharged into the Saniswift via two 1-1/2 inch inlets, on either side of the housing and an additional inlet on the top of the unit. A non-return valve, which comes already assembled on the discharge rubber connector, prevents back flow into the unit.
This unit has been designed with a vent connection on the lid. All plumbing codes require connection to a vent system. Please note that the vent system should be a two-way air vent.
It is also highly recommended for the gray water pump to be connected to a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) circuit.
The Saniswift is a compact unit with attractive rounded contours that fits neatly into tight spaces.

Review:
We have had the Saniflo system installed for about 4 months now. We are using it in the basement for a wet bar sink. We have the unit mounted in the cabinet under the sink. Install was very easy and the system works as advertised. Main drain line is about 9 feet above and 10 feet away from the Saniflo. The unit does a great job at pushing the liquids “up hill” and I did not have to dig up my basement floor.
My only compliant (and it is minor) is that the motor could be more insulated – it is a bit loud. I ended up putting a small rubber tile under the unit and it helped absorb most of the vibration and some of the noise.

The saniflo unit works fine. The instructions were terrible. I hired a plumber to install it. With better instructions I could have done it myself.

I am satisfied with the saniflo saniswift that I purchased, it arrived sooner than I expected,it operates great although I did not think it would be as noisy as it is,I even mounted it on a piece of foam but that did not help. thank you

The Saniflow waste water pump functions well. I must agree with other reviewers in disappointment with the installation instructions. However, we were able to figure it out!

Review:
The waste water pump works great. I was a little disappointed with the installation instructions. A few words to go with the pictures would have been helpful. The only problem that I have not completely corrected yet is the vent.
Why would the vent be factory sealed to the point that you need to use a saw to open it and then it is tapered so a regular pvc coupling won’t fit, nor is it threaded to allow one to simply screw in a fitting???
Overall happy with the unit, it solved a problem that seemed to have no easy fix.

The Saniflow unit works well but the directions included with the unit are pathetic and quite possibly the worst piece of technical writing I have seen in a long time. It is incongruous to send such lousy instructions with a quality product!
I applaud your outstanding customer service
I ordered a mirror online. It was hand hammered copper to the tune of over $500. Your customer service rep called to be sure I was aware that this was a frame only and no mirror would be included. Many other companies would have simply shipped the order. This attention to detail and level of genuine customer care is rare. Please be sure that Anida is recognized for her outstanding service.
