The Sanishower is a gray water pump small enough to fit inside a vanity cabinet or a raised shower base. The Sanishower pumps waste water from a shower, sink, bar sink and other fixtures. It is capable of pumping water 12 feet in height or 100 feet away from the soil stack. The Sanishower makes it possible to have a full bathroom where you never before thought possible.
As a point of interest; quite a few pedicure manufacturers are putting the Sanishower inside pedicure chairs, due to its quiet operation and ease of installation, they have become the choice of OEM's.
The inside of the Sanishower is comprised of a pressure chamber, which starts and stops the unit, and the motor, which drives the pump.
When the water enters the Sanishower, it activates a micro switch in the pressure chamber, which in turn starts the motor. The motor is sealed for life in an oil filled enclosure. A spindle/shaft drives the impeller and therefore the moving parts are kept to an absolute minimum. Water enters the chamber and is pumped away into the sanitary sewer.
The unit pumps the effluent upward to 12 feet and/or 100 feet horizontally (with gravity fall). Once the water is discharged and the water level in the container goes down, the micro switch deactivates the unit until water enters the unit again. A normal operating cycle for the Sanishower can be as short as 2 - 10 seconds depending upon the discharge pipe run configuration; power consumption is therefore minimal.
In addition to sinks, the Sanishower will also accept and discharge the waste water from a variety of other sanitary fixtures such as: a shower, a urinal, etc.
The discharge elbow on the side of the Sanishower can be rotated 360 degrees to fit any type of installation required. A non-return valve, which comes already assembled on the discharge elbow, prevents back flow into the unit.

I purchased the Saniflow sump pump for a project that I am working on – to convert a 10-ft shipping container to a bathroom container that is useable on the ship. My colleague and I are performing a test on the sump pump to determine its reliability. We wanted to know how many cycles it took to fail. Currently, it has cycled 60,000 times, and still hasn’t failed! This goes to show that the sump pump is a very reliable component, which we will definitely purchase again should another similar project arises.

A: When adding a shower, a base will have to be constructed. This base should be made out of a 2" x 6" (minimum) or 2"ť x 8" (recommended) on edge, to allow for the installation of a P-trap and the required 1/4" ťper foot gravity flow towards the pump unit.
