I wanted lighting that would even work, if I decide to add a mirror cabinet later, so wall mounted fixtures were ruled out. I wanted light from both sides, not from the top, so there would be no shadows in my face. I wanted something that's minimalist and sleek, and will last for a long time. After checking out hundreds of lighting options, I purchased two of these robern pendants for my new bathroom. They look beautiful, create plenty of light without blinding, and do have a nifty night light feature as well. When they arrived, one of the glass tubes had a 2" crack in it. I contacted robern customer service, and they sent a new one immediately. Both Quality Bath and robern have provided awesome service; i recommend both the product and the supplier.
