We are architects & designers who have spec'd out KWC for clients for years. On our last one, the metal rod where the water comes out of the spout, started to split open after 4 years use. A miniscule crack that began to leak more and more onto the counter surface. We thought it was a solid metal shaft so were surprised. We searched all over the web and the best looking spout we found was the KWC but we were nervous about buying another one until another designer said that her KWC lasted 15 years. You had the best price, thank you. It is very good looking but when you turn it on there is a sudden big blast of water, then it eventually regulates itself to an even flow. The blast pops onto and out of whatever you are filling and so the entire sink gets blasted. It does not matter if you turn it on low and slowly or high. It seems that the spout is missing some kind of water regulation device inside - or we got a lemon. None of our other spouts do this nor did the last KWC? Because it's one of the most expensive spouts on the market, KWC always had a great reputation, customers expect the best. This one does not behave like the best.
