First of all, I wouldn’t hesitate to order again from Quality Bath. Regarding the Empire Vanity…we use it in our Master Bath every day. It is a great quality product. If I have one complaint, it would be the following: the slow-close mechanism is highly functional and along with that there is a minimum “quantum” of pull that has to be applied to get the drawers to open. That effort coupled with the type of drawer pulls is a minor problem. The drawer pulls don’t permit a finger to loop behind or through the pull. One has to tightly squeeze and pull. Well, it happens that it takes a pretty serious squeeze and pull to get a drawer to “release”. I think we are likely to replace the stock pulls at some point due to this. Having said that, it’s a great current deterrent to our toddler who cannot open the drawer because of this combination of magnetic hold coupled with a challenging drawer-pull. The color, style and quality of the product are excellent. We elected to purchase with no top or hardware, supplying a custom piece of marble coupled with Rohl fixtures. It looks quite stunning and is equally functional. We have a closet in the bathroom, so required less hidden vanity space, so the open bottom to the vanity is a nice differentiation from most.
